Default Possible all motor setup here....

Have a 01 GSR stock besides CAI & skunk2 exhaust. This is what I am thinking about going all motor...

1. Skunk2, CTR, or toda camshafts
2. camgears
3. valvetrain upgrade depending on cams
3. a nice header
4. high flow car or test pipe

Here are my questions...

1. Am I missing something that could make my engine reliability an issue?
2. What sort of tuning do I need to do?
3. VAFC or Hondata or both on OBD2?

Any comments or suggestions about my setup would be great. Thanks.

reliability will be as good as how you install and tune everything--

IF you are staying stock compression go sks1's or itr/ctr's
I would also look into p&p your stock intake mani or looking into a skunk2
Tuning is a must but I would also look into a fpr and guage.

If you were to go the hondata route the vafc is useless.

How can I bump my compression?

Any recomendations on this? Do larger injectors come into play?

Would a AEM 3 inch Type R cold air or a shorty ram work the best with this setup?

bumping compression - either milling head or pistons/head gasket (i.e ctr pistons, )

short ram or cai? not much of a difference. btw you can modify your gsr cai to fit

Is hondata possible on OBD2 veh?

Sorry my bad yes you will need obd1 for hondata

Is it worth the hassel to go to obd1/hondata or should I stick with the VAFC?
