As posted already, can you elaborate on "it freakin jams?" Do you mean it actually won't shift into gear, or is it just a notchy feeling when rowing through the gears? I used a DC Sports short shifter for a year and a half and noticed that it is extremely notchy.

I had a short shifter in my car that started acting really funny after a few months and I noticed some tranny problems. I would never put one in my car again. I say just put your oem shifter on and see if that corrects it. ....

i think the shifter sucks in general. first off it's a bitch to get into reverse, i have to try several times. second, it grinds when it jams. i wait till rpms drop then i hit gas again, meaning it shifted but it did not completely shift or something. clutch is all the way in also. over it
I personally used the DC Sports shifter without any problems whatsoever. The reverse thing is normal for a lot of Civics because of the way that specific gear is designed. You either need to let the car roll a bit before going into reverse or row through a few gears. I usually shift from 3 to 4 before putting it in reverse, and this is with my stock shifter. And I still don't understand what you mean by "it jams." Don't be so quick to blame the mods when you have problems.
