How long will I last with a leaky clutch master?
Hey guys,
I noticed yesterday that my clutch felt a little odd. I checked the fluid reservoir only to discover it was practically empty. I topped it up but after a 15min drive it was empty again. I have now noticed fluid leaking under the dash.
I was wondering how long I can go with just topping up the fluid level - do these things get progressively worse?
Unfortunately I can only get booked into the workshop in a couple of weeks time ... so I was hoping to keep it going until then. What do guys reckon will I make it? (And no I dont have time or patience to fix it myself!!
)
Cheers
Mike

that happened to me on my old Civic, it just drains right out of there... way too fast
sometime you can't get the car started, cuz you can't get the clutch to engage
other times it was amazing... there was so little fluid, that you only had to tap on the clutch (which was basically sitting on the ground) to change gears
but yea... you need to get it done soon, unless the leak is REALLY small

carrry a few extra bottles of fluid with you and learn how to bleed the clutch.
you can do it solo and its a PITB... much easier when you ahve a friend doign it with ya..

I wouldn't drive the car anywhere until I got that fixed. It'll leave you stranded when it finally goes out completely. I know this from personal experience.
