Greddy SOHC Kit with FMIC, tiny pinging (sometimes) at 8psi..
Hey all,
my setup is listed in my profile.
fuel setup:
Greddy Blue Box + Stock Injectors
I am currently using a hallman ES for boost control. At 8psi i seem to get a slight pinging SOMETIMES. I was curious if i could get an adjustable FPR + bump the pressure up a few PSI to cure this problem?

it sure can help some
u might be slightly lean
bump the pressure about 10 more psi and at least a lil more fuel shall be fed....
that shall help some.. if not then ur injectors are maxxed out... time to invest on new ones

Yeah the blue box is your problem...
More fuel pressure could work as a bandaid... but as was stated... though MANY have successfully run 8psi on a bluebox, maybe it's just time for some real management... or dump your timing another degree?

Let me guess, it happens near redline right? I have the same problem with 7 psi. I'm switching to the AFC hack this summer.
(I don't want to hear any BS about Uberdata either, I have my reasons for the hack so shut up).

I think your fuel is prob. ok...Usually the blue box runs a pretty safe a/f....I would get it on a dyno to see where your a/f ratio is at....If all checks out ok, try backing you timing off a few degrees....
i ran anywhere from 4-10 psi on my sohc greddy. setup was walbro 255, rc310's, aem fpr and the good ole blue box. i used the fpr to turn down the pressure a little until i could idle the 310s and also have enough fuel to safely boost at around 6-7 psi. from there i would turn up the pressure accordingly when i ran 8,9, or 10 lbs. i actually did alot of research and all the math to figure out the pressure i needed and the numbers just stuck in my head after awhile so i could adjust the fuel when i needed to. i also had my timing retarded a degree.
setup was stock z6, greddy kit, 2.5 mandrel bent catback from kteller, dsm sidemount, dsm bov, apexi filter, greddy profec b, and the fuel stuff listed above. never had any pinging problems year round.

Just do it properly dude, if uberdata or whatever works use that if not shell out of hondata its better then spending heaps on petrol having poor performance and then a blown engine...
