Where to locate the secondary O2 bung?
My friend has a 2001 Type R. He bought a JDM header and a JDM ITR cat
Problem: There is no hole for the secondary O2 in the cat.
Question: Does it matter where the hole is drilled in the cat for the new O2 bung? Will different drilling locations give different O2 readings?
Any help will be great.
Thanks

What exhaust is he running? The JDM ITR cat won't bolt up to the stock exhaust...it's shorter than USDM cat by a fair amount...
and yeah...what RJ said...

i have a jdm cat for the jdm header. u would have to extend the piping on the cat to fit the usdm exhaust. they make a secondary o2 sensor bung for me and it works fine..

no its a ex mag II and it came with the extension peice, and he has a jdm header also. so basically u cant just drill a hole for the bunge???
or did you not read it correctly. cuz i did say a hole for the bunge.

Actually, you have to do BOTH!

Just make sure the second O2 is after the catalyst.

No I read it correctly.
You can just drill a hole if you want..... but you'll have an exhaust leak and your o2 sensor wont stay in.
