MSD ignition
you know what i was looking into, a complete ground cable system for under the hood. i saw in last months euro tuner that they added this to an audi A4 and it had some positive results, do you think anyone out there has a kit for my 94 accord LX coupe? i wonder...for some reason, there were power gains...odd...they claimed that all the lost spark was made up for and the car got more HP out of it!

a few people talked about this a couple months ago, upgrading your ground wires would give you gains you wouldnt even see or notice...
itll only be a improvement imo, for people with old wires/ bad grounds/ dirty grounds/ everytime i clean and tighten my grounds up, when i have my stereo on, i notice the clusters lights dont dim at all compared to if they were dirty and such.

you know what else i was looking at, a complete ignition setup, i used to have one but that didnt turn out to be so reliable and it gave me problems, im wondering, can anyone tell me how much a good MSD system would cost and how reliable it would be for not only spark when igniting but also for parts such as the distributor and other miscellaneous parts.!
I am running the MSD 6AL control and MSD Blaster3 coil. I like the setup very well, but you won't notice any gains on a stock engine.
I highly recommend it for anyone with turbo or nitrous. Or if you are interested in gaining a little fuel economy.
My ignition setup: MSD 6AL MSD Blaster3 coil Stock replacement wires Autolite cheapy plugs (2 steps colder)<--actually very good plugs.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
the factory honda ignition is superb. it is good to no less than 500whp...and it has been proven time and time and time and time again.
until you get beyond 500 whp...they are COMPLETELY worthless. at MOST you would want to add an external coil...but that's really not needed either.
if you are having problems with your igniton, chances are you need new spark plugs, you are using wires OTHER than OE (you can get by with NGK...usually), or your gap is too extreme
if you are having blowout...it's probally your gap.
set your gap to .44 and work your way down until the problem is fixed. usually around a .38 is good for most engines.
i'd also recommend to NOT use platinum plugs...EVER. look into either autolites (my prefrence along wiht most engine builders) or NGK's....

nology wires suck...they lose power...it's been proven over and over again, just like MSD wires.
go with a set of NEW oe wires (around $50) and you'll get a smoother idle and more power accross the band
as for plugs...you won't really gain much other tahn idle and not blowing out. platinum plugs are TOO hot..ever the coldest ones.

go with autolites or NGK's.....you'd be surpised to find out almost all of the fastest hondas use one or the other
if you pay more tahn $1.50 per spark plug...you're paying TOO MUCH</TD></TR></TABLE>
Not if the gas you save with better iridium plugs pay for the plugs in the long run. If you're strapped for cash, just get the good ol' NGK copper V-Power plugs. Otherwise, try the iridiums (Denso, not NGK).
