Pics of 17x7 OZ Superleggera on my PY ITR...
Tires are Kumho Ecsta Supra 205/40ZR17 ... In retrospect, I shoulda gotten 215's, but I'm getting Falken Azenis (how do you pluralize that I wonder?) for my stock wheels for the track anyway.
and a bonus, these are also 17x7 Superleggera's, in gold (which is available in 5x100, not sure about 5x114):

Here's the weights:
OZ Superleggera, 17x7: 15.4 pounds
for comparison:
Acura Integra Type-R (US Model), 15x6: 15.6 pounds

The weight is very impressive. Generally doesn it make a difference is the wheel is bigger but the same weight a stock?
On a different note, anybody have the weight for 16 inch and 17 inch Te-37s handy?

No downsides really better handling and acceleration due to the bigger/better tires. they due rub some with a lot of weight in the car, but I can live with that.
the larger diameter rim that weights about the same as stock will hurt accel. because it is much more difficult to rotate a very large diameter mass compaired to the stock size.
can anybody photochop that car down about and inch? looks nice. i was thinking about those but i dont think i want to throw 17s on mine.
I've seen an ITR just like that in Manhattan on Saturday night around 9:30 PM on 6th and 55th, was it you, I noticed the plates were neither NY or NJ or CT.
It looked sweet.

Thanks for the compliments... I know with the bigger rubber that they're going to weigh a tad more, but for driving around town that's fine with me. (see first post for other plans for track). At least they don't weigh as much as the F1 Cup! To answer other questions, they were $1480 mounted and delivered with the tires mentioned.... had to have them rebalance b/c the weights fell off during shipping (pics in another thread). Overall, I really like them and I do notice improved handing, but that could also be in part to the fact that my RE010's had 17K mi. on them when I replaced them.
Photochopped about 1 to 1.5" ...

the rims look awesome but i think they would look better on a SCOOBY WRX those are to big for the R, i wouldve just saved up more and got MUGENS
15.4 lbs + weight of the huge tire... tires weight alot in 17 inch configs... compared to 15s...
A larger rim vs. a smaller rim of equal weight: The larger rim will be more difficult to rotate because of greater rotational interia. The weight of the larger rim is spread over a larger radius, and as a result a larger torque will be needed to rotate the rim.
Nice, Nice...i use to perfer 17"
but now 16" look better!Thats my opinion!
But nice clean PY ITR you have der! Keep it up

Those are the ones! I recently decided to look into a tasteful aftermarket rim for my stock R. I've been very reluctant to mod it, but those OZs have me!
