Default New to Forum and Integras

Hello all
I just purchased a 1995 red GSR and had a few questions.
I'll list the setup first. The guy i purchased the car from is a certified honda tech, and did all his own work except on the head.

B18C1 with ~14000k
New Polished OEM Crank
Bored 10 over
Strenghtened and Polished stock rods
CTR (PR3) Pistons (runs 11.4:1 compression)
Full Race Port on the head.
3 Angled Valve job
JG Intake Manifold
JG 65mm Throttle Body
JG Cam Gears
B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator
8.5mm Magnacore Wires
AEM CAI
DC Sports Headers
HKS Super Dragger
16" Wheels and 205/50/16 tires

The car makes a ticking sort of noise, very quiest too. Not in idle, just when being reved, weather in neutral, or in gear. The just said it was a "lost motion valve". I have no idea what that is, can anyone clue me in? Any other reason it would be making this noise you can think of?

since he is a cert honda tech
tell him to hook you up with the
lost motion valves....
it is common for people to dip them in oil after taking them
out therefore the ticking starts....

another question
does it get louder when you rev it up???
or does it fade out.....

Thats a helluva setup for someone who's new to Integras.

Maybe I'm just jealous.

Included was a set of head studs, ITR valve springs and retainers.
I'm gonna get the lost motion vlalve from him, and a set of CTR or ITR camshafts.

Ticking does not seem to increase in volume. if it does, its not very noticiable.

ticking means you need to adjust the valve clearances

correction:
Ticking does increase in intensity as the engine revs higher
