I'm taking a very slow approach for learning this thing. Half throttle scares the ***** out of me in second...
Yes this is my first bike. And I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to the "beginners" thread at the top of the forum.

First mod -- Frame sliders this weekend
Dont get those metal frame sliders like the one on the other r6. The plastic ones are better. The metal ones will actually get caught in the asphault and make your bike flip.

I dont consider that a mod, I consider that mandatory equiptment.

Really?! I'll definately take that in mind... I'm the one who installed the sliders on my friends R6, he was too afraid to dremel.

exactly. not to mention the metal ones are more likely to bend or twist something on the frame from the force, where the plastic ones will just grind down. friend has a gsxr750 with metal sliders, the bolt holding (motor mount i believe) is now bent to the point where he is not going to have an easy time getting it off.

Plastic ones will bend the **** out of the bolt too. I've seen it more then once.
