Removing the Upper Timing belt cover.
Well, as someone mentioned to me to remove the top timing belt cover to look at it, I'm attempting to do so right now. I have both of the bolts that hold it on off, but I can't get it to come out.
Is it possible to remove it without taking off the Valve Cover (or whatever it happens to be called... hopefully you know what I'm talking about though, says "VTEC", heh.) Because in the haynes manual, it appears that the Upper T-belt cover has some sort of a lip that is held by the Valve cover.
Any help will be fine right now, hoping for a quick response
Thanks.

yup! gotta loosen da valve cover. just dab a bit of RTV sealant in the corners after you wipe it all clean. it'd be nice if there was some type of inspection hole huh? when you do the t-belt job, you'll wanna replace the valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube seals!

Well, now I'm paranoid of the possiblity that I could destroy my engine. So, my father and I are going to start doing the work on it, slowly but surely (since he's working :/).
So I'll be driving the 97 F150 for the next week or more... depressing.
