Default Beautiful Day at Nelson Ledges road course, and a sequence of a 'stang going off:

Had a load of fun at nelson ledges today, was my second trip to a road course (same one), this time with some better brake pads and much stickier rubber (wearing down the V700s)...I felt much faster this time around, in part because of the tires and in part due to a little more confidence and knowledge...i'm looking forward to my seat/harness/rollbar, i was so tired hanging off the wheel by the end of the day, didn't really have that problem on the RE010s as much..mad G-forces on the V700s. I'll post more impressions etc. on our site eventually with more pics, but i wanted to post this sequence, this guy went off in the short straight after the long straight, fortuantely the ground was really wet and slowed him safely before any wall contact...i'd say he left the track at around 90 MPH. I had a few interesting moments myself, but the shiney side stayed up and heavy side stayed pointed forwards.

heh, mud-stang...look who's clever. another guy we autoX with, regis, came out in his MR2 turbo...he had an off, similar result...there was a ton of grass sticking out next to his exhaust...we were kinda joking about the foliage option for the MR2 when he started pulling it out...i swear there was 3 cubic feet of sod and grass up in the fenderwell. he was impressed...

I don't get some of you people. If a Mustang beats you on a drag strip, some of you would be the first ones to say "I'd whop you in a road course". The minute an enthusiast joins you at the track with a more than capable car and makes a mistake, you attack their skill and belittle their car.

I dunno, if you're a car guy, you'd feel for anyone who goes off track with their pride and joy. Then we're surprised when Honda owners are looked down upon.

Excuse me while I go disinfect my ITR ..........

my thoughts exactly!
and you wonder why I even tried to redeem myself
and why Im sick of this whole import thing
and I cant get out of it because I am working with a major manufacturer to
make engine parts for the enthusiast.
Maybe I should disinfect my car too!
some of my closest friends happen to race for Saleen
