i just put a gsr bottom end togehter with a b16 head and put it in to a 96 coupe. the car barley will start and when it does it has a lopy idle. then when u hit the gas it just bogs out and dies. then if u hit the gas slowly it revs like a rotary motor kinda weird.... i used a ex harness and extended most of the wires . the timming is dead on the cams and crank.i changed all most of the senosrs such as the map,tps,knock and coolant sensors. we also changed the injectors . The ecu is a p28 with the jumper. we also tried the stock computer in the car and it still does the same thing. ANY clew?

 

help please ... we have just replaced the head gasket also and it still is doin the whole bogging out thing and now it will barley even start

 

sounds like a bad coil

 

dont know what year your car is but we had the same problem on my friends car, it was the crank angle sensor killing the car after it starts up...
