New here, with question
Hey guys, sweet forums...
Just a little back round, Live right outside D.C....95 Accord Sedan...
Quick question, about a cold air intake.
How difficult are they to install? I don't have much car experiance, are they better left to a mechanic? Or do you all think I could do it myself.
Also, will the intake make much of a differance? Most people I talk to say it will, but a few others say it won't be noticeable.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

it sounds cool and adds power on the top end. i did mine myself, it's not too hard. if you can change your oil you can do this. maybe a have a friend help if you are unsure. a mechanic will jack you on install costs.
Thanks man, I probably will be ordering it this week, I gotta run up to Baltimore right now but I'll be back on the forum tonight, thanks again.
Ok, I just got back, popped open the hood and had a look. I can kinda see the whole intake system here (factory) I guess it comes in under the car, and goes through the filter into the tube then into the throttle body. Under the tube between the filter and throttle body, there's this little black box. What's in there and what do I do with it when I remove the existing intake?
You can do this a few ways
easiest, after you get the factory tube off the throttle body and all that out of the way (removing the factory box too) you can set your front tires on jacks stands and remove the right front wheel. You dont need to do this but it makes it easier.
Next get out a phillips, or clip puller, and remove the screws from the mudd guard in the wheel well. Youll need to unscrew some stuff under your front bumper too if Iremeber right.
Next youll notice that ugly black box in there, locat all the bolts holding it in, and then pull the box out.
It should be straight forward installing your new cold air from here.
If not just ask.

Thanks, I'm probably going to order it tommorow or the next day. I'll probably be back on here when I have the car opened up too and can't get it in. I'm not too mechanically stable here...
