Default Distributor Service/Maintenance?

Hi,

I am sure you can help me guys.

Can you please tell me what kind of service or maintenance i should do to my distributor?

Sometimes i read about rotors etc.... but are these changes cause the car is bot running well or just servicing ?

I have changed all fluids etc.... since it got shipped from Japan but i have never touched the distributor.

Regards,

Replace dist. cap and rotor, inspect/change wires and plugs. Tune-up items. Not expensive..

Make sure the rotor screw is in tight after replacing. The cause of most ITR distributor failures is because that rotor screw gets loose and destroys the internals.

Don't overtighten the bolts on the distributor...they are fragile and snap easily...

<-----knows all too well about how fragile they are.

I just changed my cap and rotor (and fuel filter), but did not see anything in the maintenance schedule in the owner's manual. Anyone know what interval they should be replaced?

chris - who still needs new oem plugs/wires.
