Default filter on throttle body

Was curious to know what disadvantages are there from running a filter drectly on the throttle body or off of a very very short custom intake pipe?

Thanks

the only disadvantage i can see is hot air being sucked in.
and you'd have to drill a hold and mount the iat

But that could be taken care of with a 2inch intake arm and heat shield for the intake with a cold air routing tube right?

I imagine this setup to give excellent throttle response?
