Anyone know the gearing on all the 96-00 civic models and which one would be better. Also how do you read the gearing number? I tried to search but came up with nothin.

96-00 trannies are the same as the 92-95 as far as gearing goes. the ex tranny will bolt right up to your y7 no problem. you can also use any 92-95 D series tranny on your y7 if you'd like; but, the 96+ ones have stronger steel shift forks, instead of the aluminum ones in the 5th gen.
ex tranny + quaife lsd + 4.9 final drive
or ... keep your dx tranny, find zc 3,4,5 gear sets + quaife + 4.9 final
