I need to replace the rear interior on my gf's 88crx. I know the seatbelt locations are different on various years/models, so my assumption is that I need 88 rear parts? Or will the 89+ fit? I just need someone to varify either way. Or do the panels snap into place and fit properly, but need to be cut a little so the pillar mounted seatbelts can run thru the panel?
any info would be appreciated. Oh, and I searched, but didn't find any definitive answers. thanks!

ok, so fitment wise they are the same, cool. Besides drilling the hole I'll also have to cut a hole for the actual belt to go in...correct? on the pillar mounted setup the belt runs thru the upper attachement then down thru the plastic lining and down to where the seatbelt rolls up. This "slot" that the belt goes thru is not on the panels from the door mounted belt cars, correct?
wrong, There are 2 pieces that you are talking about. The bottom piece will have a "hump" in it at that point and will allow the belt to run along the pillar.
The bolt for the seat belt is the only thing that you will have to mod. When you put the piece on you will see what I am talking about. I will try to find a pic for you somewhere.

This is the best pic that I could find, Look at the first pic on the link, look at the seat belt and see where the bottom panel has a "hump" this is what lets the belt behind the panel.

I was at the junk yard today looking for parts and figured it out. The panels from the crx's with door mounted belts have the "slot" or "groove" or "space" (or whatever you want to call it) but its just plugged with a small piece of plastic. Once you remove this plastic cover the belt can slip right in there. So yes, the rear side panels are the same on the pillar and door mounted belt cars, however the cars w/ the door mounted belts have a plug covering this slot. As for the hole in the pillar... thats not a problem, I don't have to change those anyway. Its just the side panels and storage compartments that I need to replace.
88-91 honda crx rear interior parts are all inerchangable what I have is an 89 hf that has seat belts on the chasis not the door and i took a 90-91 that doesnt have the hole for the seat belts and put that in because I will be using a racing harness so it looks factory with no seatbelts. my .02

But if you wanted to use the factory mounting...look at the rear of the
panel...the oem holes are marked off

Yeah, but they aren't too cheap, and most of the stuff there is either missing or broken already. Not to mention almost all they have is dx and hf stuff....

paint interior to black will cover most scratches take your hf/dx blue interior into gloss black with krylon fusion paint chemical bond works the best! gloss black or flat black. Also have many other colors works good on all plastic and all crx interrior except upper door panel since vinyl lil sticky put on clear coat from schucks lol
