Painted mine today...

I cleaned it then sanded it down 400 and 600 grit.

Primed and black paint.

I might clear coat it, but I don't want it shiny

i sanded mine with 600 grit sand paper then primered it. i then wet sanded it with 600 again. i painted it flat black and it looks streaky. like you can tell where i sanded it. anyone know how to make it look smoother? should i re-sand the whole thing or maybe more coats of color?

resand it all down smooth. then reaaply color, then wetsand with 1000 grit. then again with 2000, then use rubbing compound, then wax it like crazy. meguiars cleaner wax works wonders

If its painted and in good shape or if hasn't been painted just

1. Get some water and soap and clean it real good
2. Alcohol it
3. Get some Adhesive sealant like Bullfrog or something so the paint will stick
4. Spray that on let it set for awhile then your ready to paint

(But if the paint is pealing or its hacked up yea sand it down then primer it up)

its been sanded, primered, sanded, and painted. you can see the sanding marks slightly. if i resand it with a higher grit above 600, do i need to re-primer it and then color it? or just color?
