Default destroyed CV boots ????????

just put the b16 in my g2, and when i went to drive it i got about half way down the road and it started banging really loud on the floor and making this horrible binding noise. the noise was coming from the driver side so i went home and jacked my car up thinking that maybe my wheel bearings had ceased. After seeing that the rotors move freely i decided that the bearings werent the problem. then i took my axle out and looked at it. the part that goes into the rotor is ceased up and i could barely move it with my hand. i have a year warantee on my axles so i took it back and got a new one. i put the new one in and took it the car for a ride. it was fine for about 20 minutes and then it started doing it again!!!!!! Does anyone have any ideas PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm I don't know, but new or rebuilt axles w/ newly-packed grease in the joints are always going to be stiff when you try to move the joint by hand. It's fine when it's in the car, though. If the axle did not physically come out of the transmission, halfshaft, or hub, I don't know what could be making a noise you describe, but I highly doubt it's the axles.

THats true. When i got my autozone axles they were pretty damn stiff. I almost **** my pants when i made a U turn test driving it after i put them in, and i heard a loud clunk. After that, everything was fine *knock on wood*. Dunno wtf made the axle clunk though.

SSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!! !!!!!!!!!! i cant figure it out,... it has to be the axles because as soon as i put the new one in it stopped... then started again in like 20 mins. What i cant figure out is what is that fucked up that its making the axles destroy themselves that quickly

I remember this one guy I used to know got a B16 put in his G2, and when they first got it running, he drove down the street and one of the axles actually came out of either the tranny or the halfshaft, I'm not sure which one. Are you using G2 axles?

try replacing both of them? It's been my experience that when one goes bad, the other one is soon to follow.
