Default K&N cleaning kit for APC intake cone?

So I've got an APC intake and would like to clean the filter. Can I use the K&N cleaning kit for that. The filters look very similar, but I'm not sure if these filters are recharcheable or need to be replaced. Thanks, Indy

i would say no, filter element used on "throw-away" or non-serviceable filter are made of some sort of paper instead of cotton used on k&N filter.

once you get the paper filter wet and dry, the little hole will shut itself up

maybe it's time to throw that APC filter away and get a "real" filter
