So you're saying heat doesn't come out form it at all. I think its just too hot over there to tell. But then I don't see why you would need that heat....no I'm jk I wouldn't know I'd just bring it to my friends shop and have him check it out. But I think its gonna cost a pretty penny to have it fixed if its the core.

you could have a broken bowden cable or your valve is shut closed.

I was going to say either the heater cable is kinked or snapped at either the control panel or heater control valve, or the heater control valve broke where the cable attaches to it.

Do you know where your heater control valve is located?

It sits near the firewall and it's a black valve with a cable coming through the firewall to it and it also has two heater hoses coming off of it - one at each end.

There might be something hanging the valve itself closed.

.......OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR I may just be repeating the same **** you guys are saying but the sprocket inside the motor (assuming you have an analog heater box 99-00 I dont know if the 96-98 has the same device) when you move from hot to cold or cold to hot you hear a motorized sound.

Do you still hear this sound or does it make a funny noise. A radio shop somehow kicked this when working on my radio and stripped half of the teeth off of the plastic gear inside of this box and when I tried to go from hot to cold there were no teeth on the gear to move it either way.
