An OBDI engine won't be equipped with all the sensors necessary to run an OBDII ecu. OBDII sucks anyways.

I see, that makes a little more sense. Why not just keep it OBDI though? You can use OBDI ecu with an OBDII engine. Emissions?

hey man i have a 99 gsr in my 92 civic and i had bought the obd2 harness. it is pretty cool cause know i have the ability to run 1 or 2. the thing about obd1 is that it is very tuneable but stock ecus the obd2 is so much more responsive.

You probably be better off selling the OBD2 ECU and buying the appropriate OBD1 ecu. Especially if you plan on more mods later on.

I think we're all in agreement there.

wtf would you want to do that for. 1st thing OBDI is easier to tune b/c OBDII is for more for lower emissions
