Just like it says...does a '98 LS have an EGR valve?? Searched, but didn't get any definitive answers...so I need to know for sure...maybe someone with a 5spd LS can take a picture of where it's blocked off/ or where it's located...depending on your answer. Thanks in advance guys.
isnt it exhaust gas regulator? - i think thats a domestic term - it might be called something else on a honda - bump for an answer - maybe if you explained your situation we could help better

That's pretty much it. I'll see if I can post the diagram from the Helms manual.

Well, I'm trying to pass emissions with my JDM ITR motor and I'm using a '98 LS ECU to pass (so I don't throw VTEC codes, etc.). If the LS ECU looks for an EGR, then I need to hook one up...so I need to know if it looks for one?

If we are specific to integra's then only 90-93 auto's would have egr's. All other integra's including 98ls do not have them. Egr's are also present on preludes fyi.

well, I have to conclude that the G3 doesn't have the EGR valve. I'm sure that the G2 5 spds don't either, maybe the auto does.
I don't have the earlier models Helms manuals to look, so, no good there.
If anyone has a G1 Teg that has it, they should take a picture of it for us to see.

pcv=postitive crankcase ventilation, it lets the blow by preasure from the crankcase area back into the combustion chamber,
egr=exhaust gas recirculation, it lets a small amount of exhaust back into the combustion chamber.

To answer your question no a 98 LS does not have an EGR valve. No 4th gen integras/EG's have them. Accords and Preludes on the other hand do have EGR valves and their ECU does check for it.
As another person stated, 3rd gen auto integras also came with EGR's.
