1.) does the 99SI intake manifod use this sensor, i am looking for a 99SI intake manfold for my jdm b16 and when i see them on ebay they dont show it or it looks smooth like no hole for the sensor.


2.) when i try to BAR certify my swap will they fail me for my jdm guage cluster?

that sensor is the air intake temp sensor.. on newer b16 (i know 99-00 civic Si) the sensor is actually on the intake tube and not the runner like that shown in that manifold...

 

so the 99si manifold does not have the sensor there (on the manifold)?

 

thats a b16a2 manifold right there

and the only thing they car about your cluster is for milage so if the numbers are less then the last time you got it smog'd you ***MIGHT*** get in trouble for it. the lady who looked at mine just peeked threw the window and got the mileage

i think im going to change the cluster
as for your manifold thats a jdm manifold like mine. i need a usdm manifold to hook up the evap purge solenoid and the jdm manifold does not accept the solenoid. so i guess it has to be a 94-95 del sol vtec intake manfold
unless i get the skunk2 manifold which is now carb exempt
