Default Crashed my integra....

Well, i was careless and crashed my integra. Single car accident, nobody hurt, but the car appears to be wrecked/totaled in my eyes.
story: Going east on I-66 I hit a real bad dip in the road, twitched the wheel and because I was riding on bare to the bones tires the car started to fishtail, I drifted into a cement median wall going about 50mph.

here is the after math, the trunk wall is pushed in really bad, the opposite rear 1/4 panel is also bent from the impact.

I only have liability so i'm looking for a shell to drop everything in, after repairing it, it dosen't look like it would be the same.

i did the EXACT same thing with my 4dr., but i spun and hit the passenger side rear section. they had to replace the bumper, rear 1/4 panel, trunk lid, and tail lights. but it wasnt totaled. it ran me about 6700 though. i had full coverage so i paid 500. i hope everythiung works out for you. but if you going to spend that much to get it fixed cause you have liability, i would just get a 95 gsr

*eidt* ill buy your C/F hood to help pay for repairs

I don't think your that bad.... Trunk lid(100), tail light(40), bumper(150), quarter panel(350), paint(300), body work(800), accident(priceless...gives you more driving experience) Glad your ok. Then though this also. It sucks. the more you learn though the more you save. You can do alot to save yourself money and people bitch about ebay but it can be your best friend when replacing stock.

nice worthless post.. if he had a "cool" JDM front end as opposed to the dreaded monster tach it wouldnt have made a difference either... ghey comment

anyway seems like it can be fixed if you really like the car.. if not you can probably find another shell for around the same price of repairs.. but then you have to transfer everything over.. good luck with whatever you decide to do..

I would search around for a theft recovery in which only the motor\interior was taken and throw in your motor and interior and be on your way. It's going to be a headache and grip of cash to fix all of that.

o yea, and i have to rant about this

I go outside to check to see if the suspension was in place so i could drive off, but at the crash scene a pathfinder stops, the driver comes to me and says "don't worry I called the police"

well a state trooper shows up and writes me a ticket for reckless driving.....court in july....

What a d!ck, dude. They have no sympathy at all. A cop gave me a careless when I was in a minor fender bender too. No visible damage to the other car and only minor damage to mine, plus it was raining out so not 100% my fault. The points were dropped in court though so I was happy.

Were you able to drive away? If everything was ok I would have just drove off, went home and cried.. lol

The salvage shell idea would probably be the best.. but then theres still the time and labor to transfer everything over.. good luck again

shouldn't have been so wreckless. the guys here wouldnt be complaining had he injured some innocent person driving next to him. Its easy to comment that someone's a jerk or an **** but in actuality, they were the only responsible ones on the scene.

an off duty police officer stopped and pulled my sister out of her car after she spun around to avoid a van parked in the middle divider spraying graffiti... she slammed into a divider and was unconscious from the airbag. Had she not been pulled out, she could have been slammed again by another oncoming car on the highway. You shouldnt be concerned with the cops unless youre doing something you shouldnt be doing.

The ignorance of some people here is astounding. Sorry to see another broken teg but i'd rather not see a thread when someone gets hurt or a life was lost. Youre lucky you got away with a ticket and body damage. it could have been way worse.

see but the point is he did not enganger/hurt anyone else...how is it ignorance to us if no one was hurt? and it would be more respoinsible for that person to ask him if he would like to have the police called for him before they do so on their own...considering its not their busniess.

I would have showed the cop the dip in the road and tell him that contributed to the accident. Definitely bring it up in court, go there and take pics of it if it's visible and show the judge. The town may be at fault for it, they have no proof that you were speeding or anything.
