use some PB blaster, then put a cheaters bar on the wrench and one on the allen tool to get some leverage.

it took two of us to get my friends off the other night. i have done plenty of suspension work on accords and integras and that was the hardest one to get off by far

You hold the allen and turn the wrench. the allen will hold the bolt in place and the wrench will take the nut off

I honestly didnt think he was getting it.. It would be funny if he was doing this while the strut was still in the car

you're over-complicating a simple concept, the allen holds the shaft in place while you loosen the nut. assuming you know this, the slot for the allen key is probably stripped so it's not giving you any leverage (thus causing the whole assembly to just spin freely).

Im sure there are other ways, but the last two times i've had to deal with this, we just ended up sawing into the side of the nut and popping it off with a hammer and a screwdriver, those nuts are usually brass so it's fairly easy to work them off without messing up the threading on the shaft, but obviously you still need to be really careful else you'll render the strut useless.

Another possible solution is trying to get a bite on the shaft itself with a pipe-wrench or something, but that always ends up proving harder than it seems in my experience, perhaps my tools were simply adequate? This is the less volatile method, and should be your starting point if no other suggestions are brought to your attention.
