did i mess up bad and how do i fix it???
i have a 2003 civic with a macpherson strut in the front
when i was installing my coilovers, i used the fork tool from kragen to pop out the tie rod end from the old shock
i don't think i tear anything but i pushed the inner rubber piece up. now the inner part is stuck upward. a lot of grease came out
how do i replace the rubber piece? they sell the rubber piece for like $2.50 and the whole tie rod end for like $50. i want to save the money since i still need $$ for alignment
do i need to remove the tie rod from the car. use a press machine to press out the old rubber piece and press in a new one?
how do i do this??
this is how it looks like now, as u can see, the inner part is no where touch the shock like how its suppose to
