Default *DIY* JDM CONVERSION PROGRESS(9-pics 56k "goodbye")

ok guys/gals...I was gonna do the video thing(but there was no hope) but once I find a web site I can use to do MY VERSION of the JDM conversion I will have more instructions then just these pic's!

The infamous "MASE" left out a few things and I'll use some of his pic's since mine aren't in the Best order.
Heres whats done so far!
in a Step Process...but the REAL DIY will be more in depth:
Not Finished by far and the JDM conversion hasn't even arrived yet...but sometime this week.SO the next couple steps will be doing the same thing to the JDM support,..but from the bottom side,.as to not hurt the top of the JDM support.
Then,...fitment. clamps will be used as MASE did,..and once its all bolted on and welded...off it comes again to PAINT.

When we got done,..its was GREAT...then i sat back and actually thought about it "SHxt..I'm cuttin my damn car to peices!"
ALl in all I'm real comfortable w/ what I'm doing and theres really no way to mess it up...Becasue I will get it to line up w/o a Doubt!
Thanx and be on the look-out for "The Real DIY"....coming soon

Yep,..It is a bit hard to read.
I'll fix that once the true DIY is up??

Any suggestions on where I could post it like MASE & The WIRESPEEDTECH one?

Hell yeah! $250 of Realness

Anyway,..i can't wait fot the end results as well....The Conversion is supposed to arrive on Friday...so we'll see.

Thanx guys!
once it arrives and I finish...I'll get together the TOTAL DIY so maybe everyone's questions will be answered about the conversion.(like mine mostly have been)

I'm still looking for answeres for the correct wiring that needs to be done,..and damn! My JDM lights are NON-HID.
But looks like my friend "ITR1139" may have me out to help him w/ his conversion(in Texas) so there may be a on going process of these.

thanx and be on the lookout for UPDATES!

Why did you cut the headlights (headlight bucket?) in half? When I put my JDM frontend on all I replaced was the upper raditator support. I used my US headlight support.

Its sux really,...I was going buy how everyone else did it,..and then once I saw where they actually ended...your right thats all you need to do.
So your right....much eaiser...but w/ the Bit I was using:
----3/8 Spot weld bit from The Eastwood company-----

made it real easy! The welds Actually *"POPPED"* when they we're out.and we kinda jumped the gun on the cut,..buts its all good.It will be ok!

You still dont have to drill out ALL the welds that most DIY's are saying you do.

So on my Friends Conversion that I'm gonna Fly to TEXAS to help him w/ in a few weeks,..we'll end up doing it that way!

Thanx though---Your right. Top part is all you need (besides still cuttin out the 2 welds for the Hood latch)

on this pic..you will see the underside of the Top Headlight support. Hes telling you to just drill these all out and the bottom ones where I used the CD case to protect the rad,..and you can pry the top part off,..w/o the cuts that you see there,..but it is tricky and ALOT more spor wleds to Drill,..probably 20= Welds have to go!

either way,..probably the same amount of work,.but if your Questioning the skill it may take,..my way will take more lining up and his way Much eaiser to line up.

I'll get it though,..his there is really No guess work.

That is kinda warped up.hmm....but...thats basically it,..but Maybe w/ the Spot WELD bit I used,..it looks flawless! Popped off w/o having to pry it @ all!Only I cut.

<--WOrks @ LOWES
Home Depot=

but no,..heres where you have to get it!
http://www.eastwoodco.com

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!
get a 3/8 Spot weld bit...and it should be about $14

and you can set the depth of the Spot cut so you don't harm the underpart of the Bottom Panel...then Do the same thing to the UNDERSIDE of the JDm support so as not to harm the Top panel on teh JDM support Bracket!Easy!
