Default Painted my wheels (pics)

Ok first off, i did not BUY these wheels... They were part of the deal i got when i bought my hatch. I think they are kind of ugly, but they only weigh 15 lbs. By no means are they my favorites, but they are better than the stock 13" steel Dookies im rollin on now.

Borbet Type S - 15x7 (i think)

So i had a little time on my hand and i decided to paint them. I cleaned them up really good, scuffed with a scotch-brite pad to rough up the surface, primered, and painted. My opinion is that they came out pretty good. Yes, I painted the center cap, because i thought it was ugly.

After

Not the best paint job by any means, but for now they will do...

What do you all think?

Oh you bet... I used to have a 98 Coupe, and i kinda cheaped my way through on the mods. Im gonna try to do things right with this one, save a little longer and get the better stuff. Im thinkin about goin with Teins, or Tanabe Sustecs... but first, the paint.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Oh and i thought about polishing the lip, but i got tired of taping.

Actually, my first thought when i saw the wheels, was to make stools out of them to use in the garage.

Your right, im not gonna powdercoat them, just use them til i get my motor/susp. where i want it, then ill get something nice.

Thanks guys!

yea.. they are German, so they were probably intended for a German car, kinda like some wheels are intended for Japanese cars. Not saying they have to be put on those cars, just intended for them.....
