hey guys im new here.. i come often as guest but i thaught id just register!!
well i have a problem with my 2000gsr
i just installed my header a day ago.. and today was dry so i took my gsr out for a boot. to see how it is.. was pleased... went for like 3- 4 boots.. and i came home.. and then i started it up after a while.. and its making a rattly knocking noise.. i cant put my finger on it.. but when u rev it up it goes away.and sometimes will make the noise as the rpm goes up... .and after it idles for a few it stops..and sometimes starts but its not like a shield or somthign is loose.. everything is tight.. i hope its nothing BIG..motor wise.. the noise is kinda loud to!! hope someone can help.. pleaseee.. thanks guy i appreciate it

valves ticking? or if it's more of a clunking noise.. (happened with my prelude) it's your timing belt tensioner

edit: what's a "boot"?

 

not valve tick.. its like a deeeep knocking noise.. comming from well sounds like from the block.. and its no heat shields.. cuz its all tight..

a good shifting !! butim sorry i did it.. cuz now i hear this stupid noise.. and im scared its somthing serious!!... could it be a timming problem?

 

sounds like timing belt auto tensioner problem (same symptom as my 98 lude)

 

how do u fix it??? is it bad to drive if thats the problem??
when i took it out for a "booting " could that cause that to happen?
