Default NHRA rule change for hotrod

"THE MARTY RULE" add 250 pounds. I think thats great NHRA is trying to make it a level playing field.

yea lol Gary goes and runs a 8.0
so where is the advantage ladwig has with the so called according to skelly "superior ecotec engine"

If I was the GM I would be real pissed
I would confront them (NHRA) and say "see where is the advantage now"
after Gary's 8.0 run

I was talking to the GM guys today. The deal is this, they already HAD a weight
penalty for the trans. The carryed the extra weight all last year. SO the new
penalty is "only" 100 pounds. They still think it will run a 7 this weekend.

i think the rule is weak..of course i think any and all rules are weak.who cares if gm is faster.the only way to beat them is by going faster yourself.

im so tired of rules being changed and records being reset. im a honda fan and will be one forever. Props to Gary G. for running 8.0. been a fan of him/car since the ecko days. Had a chance to see the car a feww times in person out here on the west coast. But my concern is what kind of trial and error, research & development has NHRA or any sanction used to determine the correct amount of weight to add to any car be it fwd, awd, or rwd to slow them down or penalize them for aftermarket parts or being full tube chassied, or back halved. who car did they take to the track to test over and over to see if adding 100, 200, and in marty's case 250 or so to see if that will balance it out. Will someone cry that gardella is running faster and will add weight to him in ATCO in 2 weeks? If you set the rules please dont make any changes until the end of the season. Look jesus padilla from 2 years ago. he had to keep adding weight and continued to get faster...(i know he's rear wheel and it gives him more traction). but dayum...how much weight dso u need to add to keep a field competitive. Did marty and gary take there cars to a track to test to see what the unfair advantage is? and they say, okay...lets make this car add this amount to make it fair. Well, let me stop babbling.........just my 2 cents.

hondas

rule changes

gary g. on those sick times
