Default Problems with our new Jackson racing supercharger

First of all, i have a 1999 honda civic EX 1.6L D16Y8. Alright, i'm not that mechanically inclined, without my friend i wouldn't of been able to install this supercharger. I have some problems with my car. First of all, it's fast as hell, the supercharger works. But there are some problems. The check engine light is on, does anyone know how to reset that? Second of all, my RPM will fluctuate. It wants to idle at 2000rpm sometimes, and sometimes it wants to idle at 0 and die. Now as much as we adjust the throttle cable, we can't seem to get it right. There is some hissing around the throttle body as if the gasket may not be working, but i'm not sure. Does anyone have any suggestions to this problem?

yea you could be missing a vacuum hose somwhere or it has a hole in it. Also your throttle body gasket and/or possibly intake manifold gasket might not be sealing well. Try spraying some carb cleaner around the gaskets with the engine running and watch for bubbles, that would mean a leak. good luck

alright, well, i found the leak, thanks to the info, it was the throttle body gasket, the last place i looked because i spent $29 at my local honda dealer, and purchased a brand new one, and it didn't work. So, i used liquid gasket to seal it, not professional, but it sure did work. Well, anyways, the check engine light is on, should i pull the fuse to reset it? Also, the throttle cable is off, no matter what i do, the rpm will run about 1200rpm unless i put my foot under the gas pedal and push up, then it will run right at a about 500rpm. New throttle cable, or is there any suggestions on how i can rig this?

if you can move the pedal and drop the idle, it's most likely a sticky throttle cable or something of that sort. double check that nothing is interfering with the cable, and that it is properly tensioned/adjusted.
