Ok, so i have replaced my speedo cable with one from a junk yard, and shiet, it snapped after a week and right now i'm about to leave my house and go find me a decent one so my real question is, how can i determine if a cable will last or not?
I really need your help, i dont wanna replace it every week for rest of my life so your help will be greatly appreciated

Autozone doesnt sell speedo cables.(as far as i know at least)
i usually soak the cable good in wd40 for a couple of days... then coat it with silicone lube..... and shoot as much lube down the sleeve as possible.....

only use OEM Honda parts when replacing such items..why hassle with a shitty used cable..buy a new one..using lots of lube sounds like a good idea but..i never did that..just pony up the extra bucks and go to the dealer..it sucks but..sometimes you gots too!!

Probably did come loose, look in the hole and see if its in there and if not rig it up, or go to honda for a clip that holds it in place not much like $2.00 tops.

trust me, its snapped. When the speedo stopped working again, i took out the cable and pull on the cable gently and it came out from the housing thingy and its like all twisted and burnt looking

I bought a new one from the dealer for like 30 bucks I think. Not too bad of a price. It's worth it not having to worry about junkyard cables working or not.
