Default Type R parts on Base RSX motor

does anyone know if the dc5 type r pistons, intake manifold, cams, etc... would fit on the base rsx motor?

i dont know for sure... but i dont think so because the engine is too different. For example, the cams on the Type-S and Type-R have 3 lobe cams, and the base only has 2 lobe. I am not sure though, so ask somebody else also.

Why would you want to? You wouldn't benifit from using them anyway. Like with the AIM, you need to rev past 8K to see any gains. Your ecu isn't going to utilize the cams either. I think the pistons would be the only thing worth using , but just to up your compression to get some hp. If you had an A2 instead of the A3 then getting all that stuff would be worth it.

I believe you have to swap the whole head to the base block.
