Default Any Powerplant option, what would you do.

About a year ago I crahed my 94 teg into the back of Astro van filled with 5 illegals. Since then i've choped everything from the firewall off, all the framing everything. Now I have half an integra sitting in my driveway and I'm really perplexed as what to do with it. I know I'm going to have RWD in the end, but the powerplant, transmission, and differential are in the air. What would you guys do?

S2K. If someone can put it into an AE86 then put it in teg.

Cutting into the firwall is not a problem, I was already considering that so I can get a closer weight distribution.

If you could post pics of what you are dealing with it would probably help, I am sure a lot of people on here would be willing to help advise if they can see what needs to be done

I've seen an S2k F20C1(is it?) in an ek hatch... in an integra that would also be damn sweet... and you have seen how much ppl are drooling over the RWD teg lately

Hrmm... Highland park.. i might have to come see this when you are done

SBC! go LS1 for weight reasons or if you want all out drag car, go 400sb w/ 3.48 crank punched to 4.155, 377 destroker' is the name and it'll turn 7500r's on a cast crank. tranny, 700r4 for a good driving around tranny, or a turbo350 or turbo400 for a nice drag tranny. rear-end, go corvette IRS or ford thunderbird IRS for a street car, if you want a drag car, go w/ a ford 8.8 if you dont have money or a 9 inch. the 9 inch is a dream to work on and either have a crazy amount of aftermarket. with the solid rears, fitment would be really simple, you can cut them to any size. you'll need to make up a subframe for the car if you go w/ anything that makes a good amount of power though.

S2K isn't my favorite thing, but i guess you could make something neat out of it, but if you wanna go fast easily, the only things to look at are SBC's and SBF's.

thats my project for when i'm older and have a real job...i'll go out and get myself a fast car, rather than dumping tons of money into a four cylinder...

and then i'll work on my integra in my spare time....convert to RWD and put a 5.0 in it....and hey, the rear wing would actually be functional for a change! who would've thought, a functional wing...

the old 3.0l c30a would be cool. someone in NIRA is using a c32 3.2l nsx motor in a civic i think.

I was thinking about the old NSX motor, I wasn't sure that the transmission would work though. That's the really big problem. Transmssion and differential. I was thinking that I might turn the car into a drifter, but not because of the other teg that you guys are talking about. I already had this in mind before i ever saw his car. Oh and no 5.0!!!! If i really wanted to I'd put a 7.0 and be like shitttt. but no. I like performance in efficeancy. I'll post some pics tomarrow.

I hear the CRV rear end is only ment to take 10% of the power so it's a little weak if you wan to make any power at all. I would go SBC all the way. That would be so sick to see an integra with fatty dual flowmasters and some throaty 3" inch piping. People would be perplexed at the track when you light up the rear wheels and they hear the motor. The only issue would be getting traction and thats where the nsx motor may suit you better since you have that weight in the back.

hah, i like efficiency too...but there's also something to be said for 350 ft/lbs of torque...especially in a 2400lb car...strap a blower on there, your lookin a 450 horses with 500 footlbs of torque....you'd own just about every integra made

Honestly, I would just go with the K20a or F20c, S2k motor, but most likely, go with the K20a and check out cybernation to turbo that biatch.

I'd get a B20Z block and PR3 head. Take out that piece of **** 89mm B20/LS crankshaft and put in the crank, rods, and oil squirters from a B18C. Do a slight overbore of the block from the stock 84mm to about 84.5mm and put in a set of forged pistons. This engine yields about 1920cc. ALL MOTOR MONSTER!!! it has almost 2 liters displacement but can still climb to over 9,500 RPM because it has B18C stroke.

BWWWAAHAHAHAHHAHAH

Nice! That B20 idea sounds pimp, but do all of that, and lighten the hell out of that car! That would be 1-900-beastly
