Default 2004 Accord problems. Can you guys help?

I have about 600 km on my brand new Accord LX-G coupe and I've been completely babying the car. For some reason, I am experiencing trouble shifting into first gear (manual tranny) sometimes and have to shift again to lock it in, and also, I am noticing a slight engine vibration ocassionally while in neutral. Does anyone know if this is normal or should I get the car inspected? I didn't think Hondas were supposed to have problems at 600 km T.T

If you are having any sort of trouble getting it into gear, get it back to the dealer. That is what the warranty is for. Any sort of engine vibration would send me back too. I had a vibration in the back of mine and it turned out to be a piece of metal that was bent at the factory rubbing another piece of metal.

But whatever it is, get it taken care of while it is free. I actually was able to get my dealership to turn my front Rotars under warranty.

OT: Warranty and my thoughts:

General rule I use for my Honda's that I buy new: Run them nice for the first 3,000 miles and then until all issues (warranty stuff is taken care of). After it runs and behaves like it should, I start putting on the mods I want, intake, exhaust, strut bars, sway bars, etc. All the stuff that doesn't void the warranty and then run the car like I am going to drive it the rest of the time I own it, hard and fast. If nothing goes wrong between then and the end of the warranty, it should be ok, but if not, you can still take it back and get those issues worked out. I did this with my Civic and I ran that car hard all the way up to 135,000 miles before I hit the deer. I drove this car close to +3,000 miles a month with no problems...

Bottom line, use the warranty and the dealership, that's what they are there for.

Do you think if I am noticing problems like these at 700 km that my car is gonna be permafucked?

I have a service date set for Tuesday.
