what size gauge amp kit do I need???

Default what size gauge amp kit do I need???

I have a pioneer 800w amp, and 2 400w pioneer subs. what size gauage do I need???? ASAP

800w RMS or peak? If I were you I would just get a 4ga kit to be sure, no harm in being too big.

800 peak, I was thinking 4 gauge too but wanted to double check.
Also, does anyone have a how to(diy) to install amp and subs in the box?? Newbie

for power and ground wires use 4awg or bigger you COULD get away with 8awg if its not too long but GO BIG OR GO NOWHERE!

Thanks. Is it that much cheaper to get it online(shipping and handling) or to go to radio shack or bestbuy or walmart. Does brand name matter??? What am I looking to pay for a good kit???

IM NOT A FAN OF AMP KITS, I JUST BUY POWER WIRE AND RCAS AND SPEAKER WIRE AND DO IT MYSELF

Brand name hardly makes any difference with power cable, just don't go too cheap on RCA's
