will it still be safe for me to drive on the freeway for about 35 minutes? how much will it cost to repair it if i bring it to a shop?

i basically broke the top off where the wash sits. when i took the plug cover off, i still can see a lil' bit of the bolt sticking out from the sleeve. hopefully it wont cause the oil to spray all over the place when i drive.
should i just bring it to a shop for replacement? or its too bad of a damage?

that bolt is a stud. Go to an acura dealership and ask for the part. Get a few of them while you're there. Pop the valve cover off and grab it with a pair of channel locks or vise grips and take it off. Put the new one in and tighten the nut with a 10mm nutdriver ONLY not a ratchet or anything else. That will help prevent you from snapping another one off.
The valve cover nuts only require 7lbs of torque so you don't have to put a lot of beef on them. Also, be careful when you take the valve cover off that you gently peel the gasket off the head so you can reuse it. This is a 5-10 min job that anybody can do.

it actually should have a 12mm hex under the vc, thats how you tighten it onto the cam rails. its prolly a 15min job since 5min is finding a place to put ur perfect lookin vc. just take the vc off, take the old stud out with a 12mm wrench, torque the new one down, put the vc back on, torque the vc bolts and i would say barely more than handtight on the wire cover.
hey good news i have a pic of the stud to show you that it has a 12mm hex on it to torque it down properly. the lil problem is in order to see what i mean i need to post it in full size. sorry 56k'ers.

edit: oh BTW my friend drove with a broken one for like 2 years
so i dont think you'll have a problem getting around, you'll just have some oil coming out of the hole, not alot but some
