high FD with long *** gears is not worth the money...
grab a 96-00 EX y8 tranny+ add some 88-91 ZC DOHC gears, then SRR FD, you willl then have a sweet short gear tranny thats able to handle a little more abuse.

its a standard tranny(i think thats what your asking). The 4.7 is a 10% change in gearing compared to the stock EX 4.25FD, so each gear is now 10% shorter.

Thats awesome. I am going to keep the dx tranny. I will just buy another one used b.c fifth gear is lower the ex has .750 and mine is .700 just to help a little more maintain better gas milage. My trans now has almost a 4.0 fd its the stock one for the dx its like a 4.058. I am going to get the 4.9 and put in it. I wanted to find an even smaller fifth gear for it but no luck. I won't have the money for this till end of the year. I will have the money to buy the transmission and one part the fd or the quafe lsd I am going to put in. thanks again for the info.
