ITR 99 EK: 'maintenance required' on cluster turned "RED"
i have a 99 DX hatch, DX engine harness converted to VTEC, S2 OBD2-OBD1 harness, P28 ECU reprogged, 99 Civic Si Gauge Cluster, and a 98 Spec B18C5.
over the course of 2 days, the maintenance required notice (below the speedometer) on my gauge cluster turned/scrolled to the color 'red'. swap was done last october and up until now, it sat at a greenish/yellow color. a week and a half ago i brought the car to a honda dealer to get the AC recharged. they said they had to rewire it because it wouldn't have worked how it should've the way it was. i was also missing the AC tensioner pully & arm so they got the belt as tight as they could and recommended i get one on there. so i got one and its going on tonight.
Question: should i be concerned about this maintenance required warning w/ my current setup
anyone have a clue as to what it's referring to
all help is appreciated

so that's what that slot is for?! to reset the maintenance required notice below the speedo?
i should just completely ignore it? what would've tripped it? isn't this notice a little obsolete considering we have CEL's?

this is a dummy indicator it has nothign to do with the ecu OR CEL lights. it is based purely off the odometer with a preset amount of miles. it is to be used for things like oil changes and such.
put your key in there to reset it. you could leave it on red forever and nothign would happen except your annoyance factor

This is a dumb question but: is there a light behind the filter?
I ask because I have a 99 dx right now and had a 94 accord and both never lit up.
