Q 4 B20 allmotor set-up
Hey all, well as some of you know a B20 has alot of low end power, very torquey. Well my question is, would a 4-1 header that should offer better high end work better than a 4-2-1 header that is better low-mid power on my nonv-tec setup, because I've been told that the high end is where I should focuse on. Is this right? Would a 4-1 be better? Any suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated..
my bad....lol, better learn to read again! yes the 4-1 should work better for 1/4 mile. though it has to be sized right. i'm saving my money for a hytech 2.5" id system cause my future plans are pretty out there and i'll need it then. a 2.5od header is probably big enough if you dont' plan on 404s or 405s. a 2" is way to small. and plan on getting a bigger exhaust if you have 2.25od exhaust...i had a type r exhaust. and was barely better than my stock 2" od. in fact i'm actually faster down the track right now with the stock exhaust
thanks for the input cory, i think i have a 2.5 exhaust on the hb. if i was going to use 405s(i'm assuming you mean cams) then would i need a 4-2-1?
no, if you got 405's ud just really need a 2.5" exhaust system to flow taht much air in a 2L engine.
the 4-2-1 will give you less high end and more low end in any situation. whether or not you have agressive cams or a stock setup.

so on my setup a 4-1 might work for me? Even though it will take away for the low end(which wouldn't really be a bad thing due to keeping traction problem when i launch) it would help out my top end? Would cam gears enable me to even out both low and high ends?
