Default Gains from 112 octane?

Now I know that running straight 112 octane with no changes to the engine will not do anything...but what about advanced timing?

How much can the timing be advanced? 10 degrees? Will there be any gains?
Im thinking about trying it out on the dyno and see what happens.

Also...should it be mixed or can straight 112 octane be used?

without high compression the gains would be minimal at best. Somewhat similar to running octane booster.

advancing your timing only gives you power to a point, sometimes retarding it will give you MORE power, you really have to dyno tune to find out....

i highly doubt you could advance your timing another 10 degrees and make decent power

i've also heard you can hurt your engine by running octane way higher than nessecary, but I don't know how true that is

the higher the octane the slower the burn, if it goes too slow it will burn all the way through your cumbustion stroke and go into your exhaust stroke, this will be bad for the exhaust valves.

Hogh octane gas will also hurt your O2 sensor/sensors and your cat. I wouldnt suggest bumping your ignition that far, 4-6 degrees at most--any more and the motor is working against itself

only if it is Leaded fuel, which I would guess 112 octane would be, but its the lead that hurts the o2 sensor, but I think HX Guy runs a test pipe and OBD 1 (no o2 in cat)
