Jun 3 Rev capabilities? Limit?
Did a search and nothing. I have Jun 3s with Jun valvetrain on my b20Vtec and 12:5:1 Comp. The block is sleeved and has forged pistons, rods, etc.
I just need to know How high can I take the Jun 3 Cams.
Thanks
Jay

The springs are good for about 9000-9500...the cams really are not the limiting factor...the valvetrain is.
Also, when you dyno the engine, you will be able to see where you stop making power.

WHat valvetrain do you use and what kind of racing you do? Also, why is you peak power so low on the RPM range and why would you take it so high then?

Exactly what I've seen from that profile.
The JUN3 is not a high rpm profile. If you want to spin into the 10k range Skunk Stage 3's is a good cam.

i guess i "only wanna rev to 9200" is not sarcasm anymore
hey robert, i decided to stick NA

There is no need to rev Jun's that high. I have run cars on a dynojet with Jun 3's and there power peaked at around 8600. There is absolutely no need to rev to 9500 if your power has already started declining at 8600. Your actually unnecessarily stressing your motor and actually going slower by wasting time. If must rev your motor high I would suggest something like ferrera roller cams and roller rockers. They keep you in constant vtec (probably no good idle) and I think you can rev to 11000 with them. But make sure you have built your motor, meaning have everything balanced.
I don`t need to rev it that high. I used to run the Jun 3 on my B20Vtec til 8300 RPMs when I had the stock sleeves and JE 11.5:1 Comp. Now I just installed Darton Sleeves and 12.5:1 JE pistons and wanted to know how high I could take every gear to get faster laps.
Thanks guys.

it sounds like the jun 3's would make a great cam for a b20/vtec build, because both of them begin losing power between 8 and 9 grand, am I right? comments?

I'll agree with you. Its a good overall cam.

I'll also agree with you . It's a whole package.

Ditch that Victor x for a Skunk/ITR or an AEBS, sorry I jacked the post

i agree its the whole package, and wouldnt headers also affect where you peak with power? like the length of the pipes before they reach the collectors? learned that from some domestic guys. but it SHOULD still apply

You assss.
Flywheel/radiator/jimfab mounts.. install for nothing.
And no more blades, rollin on them 14" blackies.
its me.

faster laps are gotten by a better driver...not doubting your skill but a good drving school will show you little things that make up alot on the tracks
everytime I am out I get an instructor to show me better lines to take, better brake points and turn in points...helped me shave a few seconds at Pocono and the Glen every time out
I also run a similar setup Jun3 cams Manley valvetrain and bottom end and JE12.5s
I only rev past 9k at one section of the glen so I dont have to shift into 5th gear

only if you have enough displacement.. it wont work on a 1.8l.. skunk3 = 2.0 liter and up..
