Best deal on rear s02's?
I really hate the way my car slides around all over the place and i think it has something to do with the mismatching tires. That and the fact that my rear tires aren't even performance tires to begin with. Anyways, where is a good place to get the rear oem s02's mounted and balanced for a good price? Thanks.
edit: forgot to mention that i'm in socal. hehe oops!

You bet, you should e-mail hardtopguy at http://www.hardtopguy.com . He is from S2ki.com and is the cheapest I have seen on OEM items.

Yeah i really was considering them. However after searching up on the S03's on s2ki.com, it seems that the general consensus is that the S03 is only better than the S02 in terms of wet traction. Here in sunny southern california, wet roads are almost never a problem.
I drive like a granny in the rain anyways.

I really like the Toyo T1S tire. I have those on my 17s. I do not know if they make an OEM replacement though.
p.s. The 225 rears is more like a 245 in a different brand.

Agreed...so if you ever change the model or brand of your tires...go one size bigger. Fronts up to 215, and rears up to 245. It has to do with the design of the tire for the OEM fitment on the S2K...Bridgestone made the contact patch "bigger" for the OEM S2K.
MAN!! $118/ $128 is a smoking deal! Thanks...in a couple of months I will be needing some new fronts.

Will 245 be too wide for the stock rear wheels though? For most tires, we are probably really really close to the minimum wheel width "allowed".

Sorry...what I meant to say was...will the tires be too wide for the stock wheel to handle?
I realize that the OEM 225 is almost like 245. Can the "narrow" stock wheels take the 245s safely? I would tend to think that at least an 8-8.5-inch wide wheel is better for 245-wide tires.

You will be fine. Hell my 03 GTI came with 245's stock on a 7" wheel. The rear wheel on the S2K is 7.5"...again yes, you will be fine.

A little update...I placed my order for rear s02's from http://www.hondaautomotive.com . Apparently the price listed online is the incorrect price. I just got off the phone with them a few moments ago and the actual price is 225 each and they're special order.
I'm gonna give hardtopguy.com a try now. Whats a man gotta do to get some tires for a good price?!

Yeah i saw them for 169 there. I was hoping to find them in the 140-150 range though. I guess if worst comes to worst, i'll get them from tirerack. Thanks for looking out though.
