Default best turbo kit to start with

I got a 6th gen 4 cylinder accord coupe and i've been researching everywhere for what's the best turbo kit to start with, on a stock accord. So far I've been leaning towards drag, but i was wondering from those of you who've actually turboed a stock accord, is drag the best, or are there any other better, no hassle (not too much problems w/ maintanance) turbo kits to put on an accord. Dynos, pics, anything'll help out, thanks.

But they give you a second set of injectors to use and it is not the best system.

Ya i deffinitely want the best possible turbo kit to put on my stock accord. Also i heard that jackson racing is making a supercharger for the accord, which is good for autos, so maybe i'd wait for that but for now hopefully some of u guys can hook me up w/ info on the best turbo kit for my car and maybe u guys got dynos, that'd b hot, thanks

there are really only 2 good ones for the 6th gen - drag and fmax. I have drag and like it better than fmax, if you're gonna do a good fuel system in the future fmax's 2 extra injectors will just get it the way. Plus the piping fits a lot better from the pics I've seen of fmax vs. my drag kit.

If you're serious about wanting real performance the best way right now would be a junkyard turbo with custom mandrel piping being supplied by a local shop and turbo parts you can piece together from Ebay or something. Of course there aren't many internal parts for your engine right now so you can't boost but so high, and I hope you have a manual because the auto isn't made for real power.

imo, i would find a shop that does custom turbo setups. that way they use higer quality parts and it's cheaper.

there is no such thing as a bolt-on and run turbo system. Maintenance is very high and tuning is vital to the life of your motor. i think that all turbo kits out there are only baseline starting points. no matter which route you take there will always be hurdles. if i were you, i would find a reputable shop near you who has actually done import turbo work and tuning.

go get u a drag kit, fitment was good, no complaints here. while u at it, go ahead and get u a clutch, at least dsm 450cc injectors(cheapest), or RC 440cc injectors.....or something bigger if u plan on upping the boost, and last but not least......AEM EMS and AEM UEGO so u can learn and tune it urself. i'm currently on the above listed......dsm 450 injectors, Exedy clutch, AEM EMS and AEM UEGO. things are going super good, after a night of tuning my fuel maps i had a run in with a Z28 on the highway he had 3 people in there, but who cares about that. all i know is that he didn't pull on me :D i slightly pulled on him in 3rd.

i will say tho, it's gonna take a little patients to get fimilar and use to and know what ur doing, but then it'll all fall into place. u'll see how the turbo map looks......the more air it blows.....the more fuel u put in. u'll see the VE of ur engine.

the turbo world isn't cheap, but IMO it's well worth it. it's been priceless. u better have some money to spend, and some just incase money too, either that, or u better know what ur doing and better do it right the first time. if not, it's gonna cost more money.

Thanks a lot, i found that real helpful, but now im thinking, if i get a turbo kit itll most deffinitely be from DRAG, but i heard that Jackson Racing's making a supercharger. Right now i have an auto, trying to swap for stick, but if that doesn't work out, is it best to wait for the supercharger since it kicks off the power from the start, or not?

go with the turbo, the JRSC kits are way too overpriced. you are looking at upwards of 3500 with a smaller pulley and everything you need. 2500 will get you a pretty good custom turbo setup.

there's no jrsc for accord 4cylinder. It's comfirmed.
i have no idea why people spend the same amount of money for a SC and not go with a turbo.
get a fmax kit and get an aem ems management if you have no idea how to put together a kit. buying parts are pretty easy, all you need to get done professionally is the tunning

I'd consider the AEM EMS if my swap happens but there's still a good possibility that it won't, so if i stay with auto should i still get the DRAG/FMAX kit or should i get the jrsc kit even though it's more expensive?

well everyone has their own opinion. a friend of mine has the drag3 kit on his LS/vtec integra and he put down 325whp on the dyno a few weeks ago.
