Default OBD1 Integra to OBD2 B18C5?

I have an OBD1 Integra GSR. I've swapped out my GSR motor for the ITR Motor which is an OBD2. I am still running on the OBD1 GSR Ecu. What would be the best route. For me. I still have the ITR ECU that was given to me but my wiring harness does not support it obviously. Well I want to know, should I leave the GSR Ecu and just chip it, or should I Convert the OBD1 plugs that I have to the ITR ECU Plugs. Please Help because I don't know what to do from here. I just want to know what is the best route to get the full potential of utilizing my ITR Motor running on OBD1. Thanks

if its a jdm itr ecu, then i would recomend odbI-obdII connector.
or you could use a chipped p28.

btw let me know if you can't find the connector.

I was wondering why a P28 is the best choice. Why wouldn't the p72 Be a better choice. I was just wondering because its like trading in an B16a2 Si ecu for a GSR b18c1 ecu. I just want to expand my knowledge. Thanks for the help.

i think the p28 is easier to reprogram, and more compatible with system such as hondata, crome and uberdata. this is just from what i have heard as my itr is still in the shop

from expirience they seem to work beter for itr/b16a motors. i think the problem in the p72 ecu is the secondary butterfly system. plus
for what you could sell your p72, you could buy a chipped p28.

but if you really want a good ecu to chip find a p61 ecu. (92-93gsr)

you can use the p72 just fine but you will get stuck with the gsr redline which is 8000 i beleive ( even though cluster says 8200)

dont worry about the secondary butterflies. it is a one way signal. the ecu only tells when to open them it does not throw a CEL and will not hinder performance if you dont have them.

i have a p72 with hondata and i am running a edlebrock intake manifold with no secondaries with no problem.

you can get quite a bit of money for p72 ecus theysell for a lot if you want to and then get a chipped p28 from kenji with a more aggressive fuel and timing curve as well as higher redline if you wish. but the p72 should be just fine to hold you over.

don't really know what makes it so good. but from what i see, the base maps makes a difference on how the computer reacts to re-program chips, and p61 seems to have a good base maps. maybe cause it was for a 1.7L motor and not a 1.6L. and the gsr have low cam profiles. my opinion only.

but if your going hondata p28 would do. since you could fine tune the ecu.
