Default TSX being parted out, anything worth grabbing for my teg?

hows it going fellas, dont post much, but thats because i've been busy searching .

a good buddy of mine got a TSX a couple months ago, unfortunately, his dad borrowed the car and an uninsured driver crashed into him head-on.

the car was totaled, but he still had hopes of fixing it. those were soon abolished after he found out body repairs would total 19k .

anyway, the car will soon be sold to an auto salvage yard, but i was wondering if you guys knew of any parts worth buying off him beforehand.

CLIFFS: TSX will be sold to salvage yard, any interchangable parts with a 99 LS teg? (seats, hids, etc)?

also, anyone know of any socal autosalvage yards that will pay good prices for a totaled TSX?

disregard the HEAD ON CRASH portion, the other driver crashed into his two passenger side doors, motor runs, front is intact etc.

i dont know about DCs, but the TSX shift boot is fine leather and really soft and would be a major upgrade over my DA vinyl ****.

hm, i have a mugen wheel coming it, so steering wheel isnt worth it IMO.

angine wise, the car is an automatic, so thats kind of a deterrent from spending that money on a motor that needs even more work, rather than buying a turbo kit or getting my car painted.

as of now, the HID parts are my priority

I dont think a junkyard will pay more than $3000 for a car with $19,000 in damage. will they?

im guessing it depends, the motor turns over and runs fine, interior is still pretty intact etc.

the insurance valued the car at 6,500.

edit: the motor IDLES fine, the car does not RUN fine

Is the engine interchangeable with the RSX engines? If so, they make conversion kits to drop them into EG/DC's now...

steal me the wheels, HIDs, and that extra pimp/expensive K24. As far as things for the teg go....no, nothing worth getting(seats dont fit, wheels dont fit(unless u have an ITR), HIDs dont fit and i cant think of anything else thats worth a damn on it anyway).

That motor would be sweet in a teg

How about anything relating to the stereo system? I'm assuming it's a huge headunit integrated with the climate control though... that's how it is on the 03 accord I got here.
