Please read this, I really need help. Im stumped to a new level....
Alright. The other day, i went to start my car. It cranked but i just tapped it so it only cranked for a second or two. (I always do that, dont ask why) Then i went to crank it over to start it and nothing. Not even a click or anything. Checked all fuses, their good. Jumped my clutch switch, nothing. Jumped my whole ignition system by putting a jumper wire from the battery to the ign switch terminal on the starter. It clicks as if the battery didnt have enough cranking voltage, it does though. Pretty much narrows it down to a bad starter right? Wrong, ive used 2 known good ones in there and got nowhere.
Tonight while i was working on it another problem arose. I took my battery out and jumped my cables from a running cars battery. Didnt work but now my ecu doesnt even give the one first flash to show that its getting power. Swapped ecu's thinking i fried that one but the next one still showed no power. Fuses are still all good. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MY CAR??????

Check your ground wires? Sounds like you have a bad ground or something. If you have stock ones they are probably all nasty and corroded. Replace them and see what happens.
Also does your dash lights and all that stuff come on as it should when you turn the key. I had my ignition switch fail last week and it was like everything was one step off when I turned the key.

Well, I replaced one ground wire just 2 days ago actually cuz it looked like ****. It was the one from the valve cover to the frame. But the stock one was split into two wires at the valve cover. One went to a valve cover bolt, the other went to a timing cover bolt. The new one only goes to the valve cover bolt. That should be fine right? But if a ground were to be bad, would it cause it to not crank? Or just cause it to not start? And my dash lights and all come on when they should. Also the test i did where i had a jumper wire from battery (+) to ign switch terminal bypasses all that junk: the ign switch, relay, clutch switch, all that.
Well the starter is grounded to the transmission/engine so if they don't have good connections coming from them to the body than it probably won't crank well or at all.
check the wire to your starter - its real small an it snaps in to the side of it, also chances are if you messed with the grounds then its a ground problem. I would replace the ground next the your starter where your clutch cable bracket is, then get a ohms meter an see if you get a current to your ecu, harness, etc.. check your breakers to.. hope you fix it man
