Default CTR UnderDrive Pulley on a B16 Not a Good Idea?

I heard mixed emotions about it..

I heard problems with the Crank for swapping out the UnderDrive pulley.. Is this True.. I guess it has no balancer on it so that could lead to problems.. True or Not?.

Let me know. I have a chance to pick one up pretty cheap but I don't want to Fudge up my motor by putting this on..

Thanks.

I don't see the problem. My friend that happens to be a mechanic slapped one on his 1st gen B16a and it drives just fine.

The CTR N1 pulley is balanced and will not mess your engine up. The aftermarket ones could.

I was talking to Larry @ endyn and he told me not to run a ctr pulley. He did not try to sell me anything, he simply explained why not to run it. Taking weight off in the flywheel is a better idea.

I was wondering the same thing not long ago and with all the information I could find online my conclusion was inconclusive.

SO, I bought it anyway and figure I'll learn first hand.

if you want to put a lightweight underdive pulley you should also put a lightweight flywheel and balance them together bolted on the crank at 10.000rpm balancer.
