Default Need creative Ideas please! Exhaust Related

I bought a 3.5 inch silencer for my 4.0 inch exhuast tip.... I didnt realise it was 4 inches. I personally dont like the exhaust, but i dont have the money for a new cat back ( i dont like the idea of just a new muff), and i want to quiet this thing down, because the original silencer fell out after HondaFest. Any ideas on how to make this 3.5 inch silencer fit my 4 inch tip?

Because

A. You didn't measure your exhaust in the first place
B. You're angry at the guy because he wants you to pay to ship it back
C. Its a stupid idea really...the silencer is designed for a 3.5" tip and you're trying to make it fit a 4"...if it doesn't sound dumb to you then I don't know what does.

so that makes it a dumb thread because i made a mistake, and im trying to correct it the best/cheapest way i can?

Maybe im in a real cash bind, and i just want to quiet down my exhaust the cheapest way i can...maybe i made a mistake, now im asking for help. Whats the shame in that? Im only human, im not this mad phat SOHC N/A 4 Door tuning machine...

Maybe today coming to school i was driving on the parkway, when suddenly a giant 3 x 3 L shaped piece of metal shot up from the truck i was driving behind, i swerved but it still owned me. CF hood is fuxored, drivers side fender is rolled like a sardine can 3 inches, corner light is owned, and my driver side mirror is shot. Oh yeah the best part it, it was a "road hazard" so i pay for it all...

I mean give me a break man, Im asking for help and ideas.

Thanks alot bauley i always thought you were an *******, this only further confirms it. Even for all the write-ups you've done, part of me says this forum would sometimes be better without you.... I did nothing wrong to you, and your just sitting here tonight lashing out for no reason. What is with you?

Best way is to buy a silencer that fits. They are like 20 bucks on ebay. Its not that big of a deal.

What the hell does you having shitty insurance have to do with trying to fit an incorrectly sized silencer into your muffler?

We should have an EG survivor and vote my *** off...i'll start the petition for you. I'm not lashing out, I just think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Its a god damn silencer, pay for shipping and get the correct size.

i fixed it with .37 cents of alum sheeting, much better/cheaper then buying a new one, i just cut like 4 3 foot long 1/2 inch wide strips, drilled holes, rivited it right in, then bolted it into the exhaust, works like a charm, better then the one it came with that fell out.
